Clow Canada hosts Bricklin International Owners Club's 50th anniversary event

Recently, the CLOW Canada team hosted members of the Bricklin International Owners Club to celebrate the 50th anniversary iconic Bricklin SV-1, which was manufactured in what is now the CLOW Canada facility from 1974 to 1976.

Members of the Bricklin International Owners Club traveled from across the United States and Canada to as far away as France and Norway. In all, 27 Bricklin SV-1s were proudly on display in the facility's parking where they first rolled off the line. Joining them were 30 Corvettes from a local Saint John club making for quite a site.

The event was attended by current and former CLOW Canada team members along with their family and friends, as well as former Bricklin Canada Ltd. and McAvity employees, local politicians and members from both car clubs. The Y's Men served up barbeque, drinks, and snacks to event attendees and CLOW team members handed out some eye-catching event t-shirts.

Attendees were also provided with a tour of the facility, highlighting how the cars moved along the production line which was highlighted with photos from when the plant was in operation. The event was capped off by Rick Benoit, with the help of the Town Cryer, commemorating the event by naming the facility "The Bricklin Building" and unveiling a plaque that is now proudly hung at the front entrance.
